The combined effects of job characteristics and cultural orientation on citizenship behavior

Abstract


 

This study examined the relationship of job contextual and relational characteristics with organizational citizenship behavior under cultural orientation at organizational level. The basic assertion was that employees who were more inclined toward collectivist cultural orientation would exhibit Organizational Citizenship Behavior in presence of enriched job characteristics.  Out of 230, only 171 usable responses received.  Job contextual and relational characteristics were strongly related with organizational citizenship behavior and cultural orientation at organizational level moderated the relationship of job characteristics with Organizational Citizenship Behavior.
