Author Guidelines

There is no cost attached to publication in JoEED.

Journal of Education and Educational Development welcomes original empirical research by both established and emerging scholars to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration on topical issues of interest to academics, policymakers, and the public at large. Please read carefully the Guidelines to Authors and Manuscript Preparation Guidelines before finalizing and submitting your manuscript. Submit your manuscripts in MS-Word file as an email attachment to the editor JoEED. The submissions will be screened through a blind review process by ascertaining the suitability of the manuscript for publication. Authors can send their submissions in any of the categories given below:

Article: Research papers of up to 4000 - 5000 words including visuals. Contributions exceeding this length may be discussed with the editor prior to submission for special consideration owing to the nature of the work reported.

Book Review: Reviews of maximum 2000 words.

Discussion: Write-up of maximum 2500 words dealing with introduction of a model, best practice, process with immediate application in respective field, critical analysis, opinions, discussions, field-related organizational or international experiences and perspectives.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Manuscript must be in English.

  2. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration. Submission of the manuscript will be held to imply that it contains original unpublished work and is not being submitted elsewhere for publication elsewhere.

  3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file .docx format.

  4. The submissions should be typed double-space using Times New Roman, font style 12 pts, abstract 12 pts italics, all headings in caps, bold and 12 pts, and margins of at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all four sides.
  5. The abstract should not be more than 200 words and must comprehensively capture the contents of the complete paper.

  6. Include at least (5) five keywords to classify and access your paper on digital forums.

  7. If submitting an article, there should be atleast 20 references given in the manuscript.
  8. The manuscript should include all necessary and complete information within the main text, not as footnotes & Endnotes.

    • The research paper should be of 5000 words (approx)
    • It should have an introduction
    • Literature Review
    • Methodology (Research design, Sample, Instrument, Data analysis)
    • Results and Discussion (with citations)
    • Conclusion

     

  9. In-text citations/ quotations/ tables/ diagrams should follow the requirements of the Publication Manual of American Psychological Association (6th ed.), which can be obtained from the APA at http://apastyle.org/
  10. Acknowledgements and information on grants received can be given before the references.

     

  11. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed; which means, that no authors should be mentioned in the word format of the paper submitted to the journal through the journal management system.

     
    List all the authors in the journal management system through the system. Please add their first and last name and their affiliations.
     
    You can add the authors by going to your submission page and clicking in "add authors". Find attached the manual that will help you in making submission of your paper.
     

     

  12. If required describe any potential conflicts of interest in an email to the editor.

     

  13. The originality of the work will be checked using turnitin; therefore, it must be made sure that the work sent for publication is not plagiarised.
  14. Make sure that all tables, graphs and diagrams are in black and white.
 

Copyright Notice

COPYRIGHTS

The authors will be asked to declare that the script sent for publication is their original work and that all the related sources are well cited in text and in the reference list as well. The authors will give consent that the article published in JoEED will be the sole property of the journal publishers and that by no means will they claim the rights of reproduction of it.

PUBLICATION CONSENT

The authors will be asked to make a consent that grants permission to include the transcription and reproduction of the manuscript for inclusion in products sold or distributed by JoEED. 

  • In connection with the permission granted, the the authors will grant JoEED the unlimited, worldwide, irrevocable right to use his/her manuscript and biographical information as part of the, distribution and work or presentation.
  • The Materials incorporate text passages, figures, data or other material from the works of others, the authors are to obtain any necessary permissions.
  • Where necessary, the authors have to obtain all third party permissions and consents to grant the license above and has provided copies of such permissions and consents to JoEED.

 

Privacy Statement

Journal of Education and Educational Development considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that       

  • the manuscript is author’s own original work, and does not duplicate any other previously published work, including author’s own previously published work.  
  • the manuscript has been submitted only to Journal of Education and Educational Development; it is not under consideration or peer review or accepted for publication or in press or published elsewhere.
  • the manuscript contains nothing that is abusive, defamatory, libellous, obscene, fraudulent, or illegal.

   
Please note that Journal of Education and Educational Development uses a plagiarism detection software to screen manuscripts for unoriginal material. By submitting your manuscript to Journal of Education and Educational Development, you are agreeing to any necessary originality checks your manuscript may have to undergo during the peer-review and production processes.  

Any author who fails to adhere to the above conditions will be barred from further publishing in Journal of Education and Educational Development.
